The Vendo company was started in the late 1930's in Kansas City, Missouri. It is one of the more collectable brands of soda machines especially the machines made during the 1950's.
It is not uncommon to find coolers with Vendo tops as they also made coin op tops that retro fit older coolers into vending machines that took money.
In the mid fifties, Vendo bought Vendorlator and in the late 70's moved operations to the Vendorlator plant in Fresno, California.
